Principles of Caring Courses

Longer training course for working in Care. 

The Principles of Working in Care

 

3 to 6 hours

Covers the essentials you need to know and refreshing existing skills, that includes Understand your role, Handling information, Privacy and dignity, Communication, Your personal development and Duty of care.

Care Industry Training & Refresher Courses

Care Industry Training & Refresher Courses are typically 2 to 3 hours training that can be fitted in with Care Mandatory Training. Most of these course will offer a more on the basic Mandatory Training. 

Basic Life Support & First Aid for Care Homes

Covering the essentials of first aid and CPR for Care staff, this course will give the staff member the confidence to deal with emergencies as set out by Skills for Care guidelines. Giving your business, staff, customers and relatives the peace of mind knowing vital emergency support can be given in the event of an emergency.

Health & Safety for Care Homes

Covering the essentials of health and safety for Care staff, this course will give the staff member the confidence to work safety as set out by Skills for Care guidelines. Giving your business, staff, customers and relatives the peace of mind knowing safety is priority and key

Manual Handling of Loads & People for Care Homes

Covering the essentials of manual handling for Care staff, this course will give the staff member the confidence to work safety as set out by Skills for Care guidelines. Giving your business, staff, customers, and relatives the peace of mind knowing all manual handling practices are carried our safety protecting everyone from injury.

Food Safety for Care Homes

Covering the essentials of food handling for Care staff, this course will give the staff member the confidence to work safety as set out by Skills for Care guidelines. Fire Safety for Care Homes

Awareness of Mental Health, Dementia and Learning Disability

This course will look at the signs and symptoms of Mental and other learning issues including how we can support people and how we can deal with them in a Care environment.

This training course covers the importance of fluids and nutrition for a service user or person in your care and will support Care staff on how to make sure they are looking after service users and people with in their care, as well as to spot signs of issues.

Equality and Diversity in Care

This course covers the legal legislation associated with equality and diversity as well as guides the Care employee through how to work in a way they meet equality and diversity requirements.

Infection Prevention and Control

This course will look how we can reduce the chances of infection in a Care environment including working practices, dealing with individuals.   This course looks at cross contamination and procedures to control infections and pandemics in the Care environment.

Work in a Person-Centred Way

This course will look at different personal values and their needs. This course will look at factors that could effect an individual and reporting mechanisms in the care business.

End of Life Procedures in Care

This course goes through the subject that can be difficult for some to approach, it will explain best procedures in dealing with service users and families as well as Care Staff in these difficult times.

Customer Services in Care

Your services users are your customers and this course will guide you through how to deal with them as well as family that may have concerns or complaints. This course will look at risks to poor customer services and how we can give exceptional customer services.

Safe Administration and Storage of Medicines in Care

This course looks at the legal requirements when deal with medicines as well as procedures, safe storage and handling.
